Go with the flow of the Tide & Seek the serenity of island time with a stay at this gorgeously appointed home less than 500 feet from the sea. Take in ocean views from the multi-level front porches, enjoy the island air from the shaded comfort and privacy of the slat-walled garage, complete with ping pong and cornhole, or dine alfresco on the screened-in porch while you watch the kids play safely in the fenced backyard.

The open concept main living space is brightly lit and anchored by warm browns with pops of blue and grey. Settle into the comfortable seating arrangement to stream your nightly shows on the large wall-mounted Smart TV or enjoy the crackle of flames in the fireplace instead. Just off the living room, the more formal of two indoor dining tables seats eight under an eye-catching chandelier. On the opposite side of the kitchen, a round dining table seats six. Open the sliding glass doors to the screened porch to allow the outdoors in during your meal (while keeping any flies out!).

A further three seats are also available at the breakfast bar for quick meals or to keep the cook company while they work. The spacious gourmet kitchen is truly a chef’s dream, with everything you need to prepare the catch of the day, lay out a simple lunch or cook a full Southern spread. Prepare instant oatmeal, ramen or hot chocolate in seconds thanks to the dedicated on-demand extra hot water tap. With stainless steel appliances, tons of counter space and even a butler’s pantry, everyone can lend a hand during meal preparation without tripping over someone else’s feet.

Just off the kitchen, a laundry room houses a full-size stackable washer and dryer, a sink for rinsing swimwear and tons of counter space for folding and organizing your clean clothes before the trip home. Nearby is a separate dedicated office space for those who cannot leave work or school totally behind during their getaway.  A half bath is located here as well for convenience.

All bedrooms in the home offer their own Smart TV, so there’s no need to disrupt bedtime routines or fight over the remote when it’s time to retire. On the first floor, the bunk room has an attached private half bathroom and is furnished with two double-over-double bunk beds to host the ultimate sleepover. On the opposite side of the home, an oversized pocket door leads off the living room into the master suite, offering a king bed and pair of chairs. In addition to a spacious walk-in closet with included storage options, the attached private bath with two separate vanities and a roll-in shower with dual showerheads and a built-in bench makes getting ready for the day’s adventures a breeze.

Upstairs, a small sitting room at the top of the staircase offers yet another large Smart TV and comfy seating. This area shares hall access to a full bathroom equipped with a roll-in shower stall with the first of two bedrooms on this level, furnished with a king bed. The final bedroom offers a final king bed as well as stunning ocean views and direct access to the upper oceanfront covered deck, which you can also reach by climbing the spiral staircase from the covered porch below. This secondary suite has a private attached bath with a roll-in shower stall and a small seating area that takes full advantage of the views.

In addition to the two levels of covered porches in the front and the screened porch in the back, all offering a variety of comfortable outdoor furniture, the unique slat-sided garage and large enclosed space under the house creates a truly cool hangout for adults and kids alike. Arrange a family ping pong tournament or play a round or five of cornhole and declare your family champion. You’ll also find bikes and other equipment stocked here for your use, including beach chairs, an umbrella and a beach cart.

The backyard is fully fenced for privacy and safety – let the kids run off energy while you prepare dinner or simply relax. The enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water allows you to rinse little ones off after a day on the beach and helps keep the sand outside where it belongs. Located between two public beach accesses, it takes only moments to reach the beach from your driveway (pro tip – we recommend the access at SE 70th Street for easy beach access). Best of all, the oceanfront road here is only three blocks long, so there is not much through traffic and crossing the street is generally quite easy.
