Cozy beach vibes abound at Barefoot Bungalow! Located on a quiet neighborhood street close to a scenic walkover to the beach, your family is certain to spend hours in the private backyard pool shaded by Oak Island’s famous trees. For guests that prefer to drive to the beach, rent the optional four-seater golf cart for an additional $350 per stay, which includes a town parking permit for convenience.

The cheerful blue living room offers a comfy sofa and pair of armchairs. Gather around the large wall-mounted Smart TV to stream your regular shows or share a favorite movie with the younger generation.

Around the corner, the dining table seats six. A highchair is provided for younger children, and a small desk and chair are tucked into the corner in case someone in your group can’t leave work or school completely behind. The galley style kitchen is fully equipped and provides everything you need to cook during your stay, and a laundry room is located off this space with a full-sized washer and dryer.

The first full bathroom offers hall access and a standard tub/shower combo and is shared between a bedroom with a queen bed and a bedroom with a double bed and its own flatscreen TV. The master suite also offers a TV along with a king bed and direct access to a private bathroom, also with a tub/shower combo.

Outside, the front screened in porch off the living room is comfortably furnished for dining or relaxing and even provides a ceiling fan for days when the sea breeze isn’t quite enough. The side covered porch is furnished with colorful Polywood Adirondack chairs as well as a small wrought iron bistro table, plus a gas grill is provided to prepare meals alfresco. Under the home, you’ll find additional seating for dining as well as a number of bikes provided for your use. An open shower is also provided to rinse sand off before entering the home.

In the backyard, which is fully fenced for privacy and safety, the above ground pool is surrounded by raised decking and offers a backyard oasis to enjoy. Splash about and let the kids burn off extra energy or float on your back and watch the clouds drift across the Carolina blue sky.

A fishing cart is provided for those who wish to walk to the beach via the scenic walkover at NE 9th Street, a journey of roughly .75 miles. Alternately, the closest beach access by car is only a two-minute drive away.

Conveniently near to the Swain’s Cut Bridge for off-island adventures in Southport or Wilmington, this quiet neighborhood location is a prime spot to vacation on island time and drink in Oak Island’s natural beauty. Kick off your shoes and enjoy a stay at Barefoot Bungalow today!
