A true seaside treasure, The Mermaid Cottage offers guests the nostalgia of a classic knotty-pine paneled beach cottage effortlessly combined with shabby-chic touches and modern amenities. With space for up to ten guests and two dogs per stay, the entire family can soak in the sun as you build sandcastles together just steps from your door.

Beautifully updated and decorated throughout, the open concept living area is well lit both day and night thanks to walls of windows and thoughtful lighting choices. Cuddle up on the comfy sectional or lounge in the pair of recliners to watch a movie or stream your favorite shows. The sturdy dining table seats at least six adults comfortably, with bench seating along one side allowing for extra space if needed. Three additional seats are available at the adjacent breakfast bar. The compact kitchen still offers plenty of counterspace and is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals, whether you’re laying out the ultimate build your own sandwich bar, setting some chili to simmer in the provided crockpot while you spend the day on the beach or beautifully baking an impressive catch of the day.

Just off the kitchen, the first two bedrooms share hall access to a full bathroom with a pedestal sink and a standard tub/shower combo. The streetside bedroom is furnished with a twin-over-double bunk bed and a twin bed. The stackable washer and dryer are also tucked behind a screen in this room. The middle bedroom provides a queen bed and a twin-over-twin bunk bed, along with a smart TV for personal entertainment. The oceanfront master suite is located off the living room and features a queen bed, wall-mounted smart TV and direct oceanfront deck access. The ensuite bathroom offers a pedestal sink and step-in shower stall.

The oceanfront covered porch offers plenty of seating, with a wrap around built in bench, classic rocking chairs and a comfortable lounge chaise. Dine al fresco at the wooden picnic table as you watch the sunset over the Atlantic. Thanks to the wooden gate at the top of the steps, parents can relax as toddlers or dogs play. There’s also a fenced dog run on the lower level, as well as an additional picnic table and a sand box in the shade under the house. The enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water makes rinsing sand off after a day on the beach a breeze, and the storage area is well stocked with beach chairs and toys for your use, plus a cart to haul everything in.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Mermaid Cottage, and it was absolutely lovely. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with stunning views of the ocean and the soothing sounds of waves crashing on the beach. The Mermaid Cottage is beautifully decorated, full of natural light, and just overall relaxing.The Kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need to prepare your meals. The bedrooms were cozy and provided plenty of space.The location is great – right on the beach! It was a bit cold for us during our stay to lay on the beach, but the patio provided a wonderful outdoor space to sit in the sun while watching the waves. We would highly recommend The Mermaid Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing beachside retreat!

What a lovely beach front home!  Awesome location as it is right behind a Publix for easy shopping and plenty of restaurants nearby.  We stayed here for a weekend with our family of 4 and grandparents and had a blast.  The home is well updated with a nice kitchen and cozy living room.  Furniture is extremely clean, nice, and very comfortable (especially the couch!). Plenty of beds and the beds are very comfortable.  Our kids loved the bunk beds in two of the rooms and the master bedroom has a beautiful ocean view with a walkout slider.  The beach is easily accessible and the deck provides beautiful views of the ocean.  Five stars and highly recommend!

We stayed in the Mermaid Cottage over a long weekend in January with 3 generations of family. We all had plenty of room to eat, sleep and lounge. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, blankets and towels were provided, and a washer/dryer for convenience. The location is perfect; close to Middleton Park and walking distance to the grocery store. We had a relaxing and great time here and plan to go again!
