This vacation rental welcomes up to two dogs under 30lbs each per reservation year-round.

Four TVs, 40" Smart TV in living room with basic cable and 32" Smart TV in master, Roku on smaller TVs, high-speed wireless internet access, books, games. Property features a covered front porch and a large uncovered sun deck, both with views of the dunes and ocean. This renovated cottage saw new updates in 2024 and features a modern kitchen with granite and stainless steel appliances, hardwood flooring throughout. Property owner will only allow up to two dogs under 30lbs each.

Absolutely loved the beach front location! Never disappointed and location to Publix and other attractions on Oak Island was fantastic! The beautifully appointed beach cottage was absolutely perfect and dog friendly suited our family perfectly for Labor Day long wknd! AC worked extremely well :) Thank You and will definitely recommend the Smart Pelican to friends!

Good location. Most everything was at the rental that we needed. The fishing this week was great. For us the fact that it's only one level means less steps for my wife that has knee problems.

Smart Pelican was the perfect house for our stay.  It appears cozy compared to some of the newer houses in the area, but there is plenty of space for cooking, eating and gathering.  It is very clean and well kept, and was exactly what we were looking for.  We all loved the deck, including our dogs! We would stay here again!

Great home, really comfortable and clean, nicely furnished. Very spacious - I only stayed a weekend, but I would happily come back and stay a full week and have plenty of space for my family to spread out and relax. The kitchen was large enough for 2-3 people to move around without bumping into each other, which is not the case in most beach house rentals I've stayed in. The oceanfront deck is fantastic - so much deck space, with both shaded and sunny areas.

Extremely knowledgeable and efficient staff. Have stayed in many of their cottages over the years and they are better maintained than most. Our most recent stay was in one of the best maintained cottages we have ever had the pleasure of staying in for our two week trip. Their maintenance staff is top notch!
