As soon as you step inside this gorgeously appointed home complete with sweeping ocean views, you’re sure to agree that it truly is Almost Heaven! Featuring an elevator, private saltwater pool with optional pool heating, a foosball table and up to two dogs allowed per stay, this upscale home is prepared to welcome your entire family.

Lined with expansive windows, the ocean blues and beachy neutrals of the living room compliment the shades of sea and sand stretching into the distance beyond. Settle into the comfy seating arrangement to stream shows on the wall-mounted flat-screen TV or simply gaze at sunlight sparking on the waves in between pages of your favorite beach read.

The sturdy dining table offers seating for at least ten thanks to benches along two sides, and an additional six seats are available at the adjoining breakfast bar. The kitchen is well-lit and fully equipped with everything you need to cook during your stay, including stainless steel appliances and plenty of cooking and serving utensils. The deep farmhouse sink is the perfect spot to clean up the catch of the day or wash beautiful locally purchased produce.

When it’s time to turn in for the night, each bedroom throughout the home features its own TV for evening entertainment. Two bedrooms are available on the upper floor, each offering direct access to the rear, covered porch overlooking the pool. The first is furnished with a queen bed and has an attached full bathroom with a step in glass and tile shower stall. This bathroom also offers hall access. The primary suite contains a king bed and a private attached bathroom with a step-in shower that also includes a built-in shower bench.

Downstairs, the two back bedrooms each feature direct access to the lower rear covered porch overlooking the pool. The east bedroom is furnished with a twin-over-king bunk bed and has a private attached bath with a standard tub/shower combo. The west side room has two twin beds. A Jack and Jill style bathroom with a standard tub/shower combo connects this bedroom with the final sleeping space, which is equipped with a twin-over-queen bunk bed and direct access to the front lower covered porch.

Also on the lower floor, a second living space is set up as an ideal hangout for kids and teens, including more comfortable seating and a wall-mounted flat screen TV, a foosball table, kitchenette with microwave and another dining table with seating for four. A half bathroom is located off this space for convenience, just beside the laundry closet with a stackable washer and dryer for your use.

Outside, lower and upper covered porches on both the front and rear of the home offer plenty of space to enjoy the fresh sea air and amazing views. There is tons of outdoor seating scattered throughout these areas, from Adirondack chairs to classic wooden rockers and outdoor dining sets.

Take a dip in the private saltwater pool, welcoming even in chillier weather thanks to optional pool heating available for an additional fee. The pool deck offers lounge chairs to stretch out and work on your tan along with a classic picnic table and umbrella. A gas grill is provided for cooking out, and the enclosed outdoor shower is the ultimate life hack for rinsing sand off beach equipment, babies and fur-babies alike! Just inside the ground level entrance to the home, benches and lockers offer an inviting perch to sit and take off your shoes or store damp and sandy items.

Located on Oak Island’s desirable west end, this lovely home is still conveniently located to Oak Island’s shops, restaurants and entertainment, at roughly a ten-minute drive or less to most island businesses. But with beach access less than 500 feet from your front door and all the awesome amenities this property has to offer, you might find your car doesn’t move all week. After all, it’s awfully hard to think of a better place to spend your vacation than at Almost Heaven!

Guests should note that an additional pool heating fee is required for each day a guest requests pool heating. Guest must request the pool heating and pay the fee by calling the OIA office during normal business hours at least 24 hours prior to arrival. Pool heating is only available when temperatures are 55 degrees Fahrenheit and warmer.
