A road closure along Midway Road near Bolivia may alter your route when heading to your place by the sea in Oak Island.
A new bridge is being constructed along Midway Road that will affect drivers going to and from Bolivia from Monday, October 10, until May 19, 2023, according to a notice from the state Department of Transportation.
The short, four mile, detour can be taken as followed ... for northbound drivers on Midway Road is to turn right on McKay Road, then left on Green Lewis Road. The reverse applies to southbound drivers on Old Ocean Highway (U.S. 17 Business).
