Sunset On Summer

In July, 2023 the Town of Oak Island announced an exciting new event to bridge the transition from Summer to Fall, with the first ever Sunset On Summer Music Festival. 

Taking place on September 9, 2023, from 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM (the Saturday after Labor Day), this new one-day festival is positioned right between the end of the Summer Concert Series, and the start of the Fall Live & Local: Market + Music series.

Unlike either concert series, which features one band per evening, this event will host multiple bands throughout the entire day; along with: Kids Area • Live DJ • Food Trucks • Craft Beer • Wine • Spirits on Site ... and a special FIREWORKS SHOW to end the evening!

Music will be provided by:

• The Band of Oz (Beach Music legends) from Noon - 2:00 PM
• Landslide (Fleetwood Mac tribute) from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
• 20 Ride (Zac Brown Band tribute) from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Souvenir T-shirts and merchandise will be available for purchase, and all A.L.E. permitting and regulations will be enforced.   

While Labor Day and the first week of September is often seen as the "unofficial end" to the summer season, it doesn't mean the fun has to end in the Town of Oak Island! Sunset On Summer will provide a large, single-day event to keep the fun going and mark the transition from “Summer Fun” to “Fall Festivities.”
