Post Florence Condition Update – 9/20/18 at 1:20 p.m.

From the Town of Oak Island – “As a reminder, crews are still working to restore sewer to areas of Beach Drive, Dolphin Drive and Pelican Drive, and the side streets connected to those streets – this means sewer is not working in those areas.

System Pressure Advisory Rescinded

Based on the laboratory analysis of water samples collected from the Town of Oak Island water system on the Island portion in Brunswick County on 9-19-18, water users are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption. The system has resumed normal operations. (Island System Only)

This notice is issued and effective 9-20-18.”

From the Town of Caswell Beach – “The Town of Caswell Beach now has operating sewer service throughout the town. Water has been restored to the town but we are STILL UNDER A BOIL WATER ADVISORY. Any updates on this advisory will be released as soon as available.”
