National Lawn and Garden

This is the second installation of our “April is National Lawn and Garden Month” and we wanted to share some tips from the National Garden Association that will turn you green!

  • Visit your local farmer’s market
  • Design and plant a bird friendly garden
  • Clean your gardening tools; oil wooden handles, tighten heads and sharpen blades
  • Seek out and purchase locally grown or locally caught foods
  • Plant extra vegetables for freezing, canning or storing
  • Just sit in your garden and observe the wildlife and beauty around
  • Start a herb garden indoors

If you missed part 1 of National Lawn and Garden Month you can read it now.
