Revel in the quieter pace of life on Oak Island's west end at Fountain's Folly. This fourth row home sits along the Davis Canal and features a floating dock with room for two boats so you can hit the backwater to go fishing, crabbing or putt over to cruise the Intracoastal Waterway! Welcoming up to two dogs per reservation year-round, this comfortable home provides space for your entire family.

Inside, you'll find an open-concept living space where you can enjoy a favorite movie together or gather around the sturdy dining table for a meal or board game night. Luxury laminate flooring and ceiling fans throughout and to your comfort. The well equipped kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare your favorite recipes and even includes a stand-alone ice maker, along with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.

Each bedroom features its own flat screen TV for personal entertainment. You'll find two bedrooms furnished with a king bed and attached private bath, one with a standard tub/shower combo and one with a walk-in shower. On the other side of the home, a third king bedroom is connected via a Jack and Jill bath to the bunk room, with has a twin-over-double bunk bed and a twin-over-twin bunk bed.

There's plenty of room to enjoy the natural beauty outside as well, with a partially shades street side deck and a marsh side screened in porch with furniture. After a long day at the beach, rinse off in the enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water. Hang out on the floating pier to watch the boats go by or catch your own dinner from the crab dock. Guests may tie up a boat or kayak using the cleats on the floating dock (please note there is approximately three to four feet of water at low tide). A gas grill is also provided. and you'll find covered parking for two or three cars with additional two spots in the driveway.

So for your next Oak Island vacation, dock your crew at Fountain's Folly- where the only regret is having to leave when it's time to go home!

House was great! Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 kids. Updated countertops and great having 3 king-sized beds! Easy access to the intercoastal and the beach. Beautiful views of the canal behind the house and sunsets were amazing! We chose the house for the dock. It was listed 3-4 feet of water at low tide however the dock was sitting on the marsh floor at low tide so we could not get our boat in/out easily.

We stayed at the property during a long family weekend (all adults). We appreciated that everyone and/or every couple had their own BR and bath. The inside of the home was very nice, and the kitchen worked very well for our needs. We loved the marsh-side of the property and stayed on the dock for much of the time. 2 or 3 adults fishing is about the max that can fit on the dock at any one time. Just a short 5-minute walk to a public beach access which was really convenient. No problems of any kind. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Overall we had a great stay. Working with OIA was very smooth. Check in and check out was easy. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues that were attended to promptly. First, the view from the back deck is lovely and even better from the dock. The area is very quiet, yet convenient to the beach (walking distance). The house is smaller than we anticipated; however, the space is used wisely and the bedrooms are extremely spacious. Finding a house that meets all our needs along with three king beds is a rarity. The beds were also comfortable. Ample seating for lounging and dining. The kitchen is generously stocked with dinnerware, flatware, cookware and utensils. The large pantry was a major plus. The lift was also a nice surprise when we arrived (may have missed in the listing); having packed in storage totes to avoid wet weather, it was great not being forced to carry those up the stairs. The individual icemaker was also a very welcomed surprise. My only “critique” is the size of the refrigerator, but that wouldn’t stop me from staying here again. It would just be challenging with the house at max occupancy. We have been staying at the same OKI house for 4 years, but this year we booked late and missed it. We were lucky to find FF, as it is so comparable to our regular place (maybe a little better). Thank you so much for a great week.
