Things are looking a little different this week on Oak Island. The Point has a different shape, the dunes are gone on much of East and West Beach and part of the Oak Island Pier is missing. The island survived and we’re all hard at work here cleaning up and putting things back in order. Some homes are not available for occupancy at this time, but the vast majority of these can be repaired. If you have a reservation with an arrival date of 10/11/16 through 10/16/16, be sure to monitor road conditions via https://tims.ncdot.gov/tims/before heading our way as rivers are cresting making some major thoroughfares impassable. Guest services staff members are contacting all guests scheduled to check in during the above time frame who are affected with damaged homes. Thank you for your patience, understanding and kindness through the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew as we work to get this information out as quickly as possible. On a positive note, the weather is absolutely gorgeous this week and we are looking forward to welcoming you back to our piece of paradise!
