2nd Annual Little Princess Ball

Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Brunswick Center come celebrate Valentine's Day with your little princess. The Brunswick County Parks & Recreation Department as well as Communities In Schools (CIS) are sponsoring a Little Princess Ball. Daughters are to bring their fathers, guardians or significant man in their lives for an afternoon filled with music, dancing, activities, refreshments, and more. Full Story

The new Oak Island Bridge is scheduled to be open for traffic by late September 2010. Full Story

Gallery Walk

Four Southport galleries will host a Gallery Walk. On the first Friday of every month from 5:00- 7:00pm, each gallery will offer a featured artist, special event, refreshments, and a free horse drawn carriage ride from gallery to gallery. The participating galleries are Cape Fear Coppershop, Franklin Square Gallery, (closed until March, but will be part of the Gallery walk again), Lantana's Gallery & Fine Gifts, and The Ricky Evans Gallery. This event started in April 2008 and has become a fun, social evening out in Southport. Full Story
