New flooring, fresh paint, updated kitchen appliances and new furniture/bedding were all added in spring of 2024 and make this cottage quite cozy. TV, DVD and internet access will help you feel right at home. Desirable features such as two refrigerators, a ductless A/C system (Four wall units upstairs and one wall unit in the basement/game room), a sun deck and a charcoal grill all enhance the enjoyment of your stay. You'll also find table tennis and a card table downstairs for those rainy days or afternoon activities!

Short drive to restaurants, shopping, grocery, and family activities including the Oak Island Lighthouse.

It's a rental that reminds me of my Grandmother's house from the 1950s. We'd come to Long Beach every summer as children and teens. So many wonderful memories! My late husband and I enjoyed our stay at Hunker Down several years ago and I wanted to come back this year for our anniversary. It had not changed one bit! I look forward to returning again next year.
