We miss you! We’re all staying home now to help impede the spread of COVID-19. For many of you, we know you are anxious to hear news regarding any changes to local orders that may affect your future vacation plans. We’ll answer many of your frequently asked questions in this section and will continue to make updates to this page shortly after our local and state officials make new announcements that affect you.
I have a reservation that starts after May 8, 2020. Will I be able to keep my vacation plans?
Reservations for one of our Southport vacation rentals are available for check-in as of 5 p.m. on May 8, 2020. The Town of Caswell Beach and the Town of Oak Island have both amended their emergency declaration to state that short-term rentals may resume starting May 22, 2020.
What happens if state and local orders discontinuing short term rentals are extended?
We will work with guests who are affected by our local orders, state of North Carolina orders and other orders that prohibit travel. OIA staff will work with guests to either move a reservation to a later date in 2020 or process a refund.
How will guests be notified if they are affected?
In addition to updating the information on this page, OIA will email any guests if their reservation is affected by local or state of NC orders.
