This vacation rental welcomes up to one dog per reservation year-round and for off-season monthly rentals.

TV (42-inch flat screen) with basic cable and Netflix, VCR, DVD player, wireless internet, stereo system. Deck and screened porch with furniture, enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water. Adorable beach cottage with dining seating for six. Westin Heavenly Bed in master bedroom. DVD library for all your entertainment needs! Fishing poles and bicycles are available at the property for your convenience. Nightly rentals are available in the off season with a 3-night minimum. Also available for off-season monthly rentals.

Location was excellent, pricing was reasonable. The grill worked perfectly, and we prepared several delicious local seafood meals there.

This is the second time we have stayed here. We love the house and its convenient location to the beach and other things on the island. There were a couple things that we noticed this time: The shower nozzle hose in the main bathroom was dry rotted and sprayed all over the bathroom floor. The mattresses on both queen beds were very uncomfortable and had major dips in them; they should be replaced. The grill that is advertised did not work so we had to purchase a grill while we were there. The vacuum cleaner that was provided in the house did not work, so we were unable to clean the house and vacuum sand/dirt while we were there. The AC in the master bedroom did not work properly unless the master bathroom door was left open inside the master bedroom and then it seemed to allow a better airflow. The WIFI didn't work in the master bedroom at all times. Overall it's a great location and a great house to stay in. We will stay here again. Just a couple of things that need to be updated and revamped.

Sandy Toes was an excellent choice for a last minute vacation to Oak Island. It's in a great location, with a very nice screened in porch. Even though it's not oceanfront, you still have nice ocean views. The house was very clean, and all the bedrooms were nice. The bathroom in the master bedroom, is very small, with a real small stand up shower. The 2nd bathroom for the rest of the house, is a normal size. There's also a very nice private outdoor shower, which is great for rinsing off from the beach, and for using as another primary shower. The kitchen is on the small side, with a small efficiency size stove & oven. A gas grill is located on the side porch. The small size of the kitchen does make it harder to prepare elaborate meals, but we were able to manage. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, and would consider staying here again in the future.

We have been coming to Oak Island for several years, the beach is never crowded, the people are so friendly and the staff at OIA are so very welcoming, helpful, and informative!! I know when I book a trip with OIA and come to Oak Island it will be a memorable trip and a wonderful one too!! No matter what we plan, whether we plan to do nothing but soak up the rays or plan to do some outings OI is my go to beach vacation.
