Pet Friendly Vacation Rentals

Oak Island Accommodations Inc. provides the perfect vacation spot for you and your family pet. Oak Island is one of the only places in NC providing all day pet friendly beaches. As more and more pets become part of the family and are no longer being left behind, Oak Island Accommodations strives to provide the best service for our guests with over 150 pet friendly rentals oceanfront to soundside. Each home offering pet friendly rentals is designated with a Pet Symbol and/or Amenity. One pet 60lbs and under is permitted per home, unless prior approval with owner is made. Each reservation will be charged a non-refundable $100 + tax pet fee, and each additional pet will be $50 with approval.

As a thank you, Oak Island Accommodations and Oak Island Beach Preservation will give each qualifying pet a Doggie Welcome bag which includes: 1 OIA Doggie Tag, 4 bags to clean up after your pet and a copy of the rules and regulations.

Other Information:

  • Dogs are allowed on the beach at any time, but must be on a leash
  • If your pet gets loose and you need assistance, please call Oak Island Town Hall (278-5011) or Oak Island Police Department (278-5595).
  • Please pick up after your pet by using the Bags provided at each street beach access point or those included in your welcome bag.
  • REMINDER: bring plenty of fresh water for your pet while enjoying the beach.
