Payment of Fees
- Rates for the property according to nightly or weekly rental including any additional services or items that you request..

PLUS
- Rental includes a non-refundable “reception fee” of $500 -- ( Brigantine II requires a fee of $1000.00 ) -- covers the excessive “wear and tear” on the home due to excessive use, such as on the septic system;
- A refundable $1,000 security deposit (returned within 45 days of the event);
- Departure Maid Service* (cost varies by property);
- Optional Linen Rentals** (cost varies by property).
Statement of Policies and Procedures for Weddings and Special Events:
- A 4-night minimum stay is required for the property when booking for special events
- The actual wedding and wedding reception must take place outside the house,
- No more than 50 people, including the wedding party, may be physically present at the house at one time.
- Any gathering over the limits of the property must receive prior approval from Oak Island Accommodations.
Cancellation Policy
Standard Oak Island Accommodations cancellation policies and procedures apply when you rent property for weddings and other special events:
- For nightly reservations – Cancellation is possible with no penalty if OIA is notified up to 14 days prior to the guest’s arrival date. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival are refunded for only the amount paid minus one night’s payment and the non-refundable fee of $30. Travel insurance is an option to add to your rental to protect your outlay of costs.
- For weekly reservations – Cancellation of a reservation for a week or more is not possible once money has been paid. If any portion of payment has been made towards the reservation, a refund is possible only if the property is able to be rented for the same dates for the same rental amount or greater. Please ask Guest Services for the weekly cancellation policy information.
*Departure Maid Service
If you elect to purchase departure maid service, you will not be required to perform a thorough cleaning of the rental unit upon departure. However, without Departure Maid Service, you must clean the home or condo yourself, as follows:
- Sweep/vacuum all floors indoors, on the deck/porch outside;
- Wipe down all cabinets and countertops with a cleaning agent;
- Clean and disinfect all toilets, showers, baths, sinks with a cleaning agent;
- Remove all linens from beds, placing them in the bag and the bag by the front door;
- Make the beds with the spreads;
- Empty and clean the trash cans and take trash to property’s trash can outside;
- Dust all surfaces;
- Change drip pan foil on stove top if applicable;
- Load dirty dishes in dishwasher, run dishwasher, empty dishwasher of clean dishes;
- Remove all personal and food items from refrigerator, bathrooms, cupboards, etc.
**Optional Linen Rentals
A nightly beach rental does not include linens. Plan to bring your own linens and towels.
Weekly beach rentals can include linens (some properties require linen service). You may either bring your own linens and towels or rent a linen package which includes a bath towel, washcloth, sheets, and pillowcases. A Linen Package varies according to the property.
