With an elevated walkway to the tidal creek, you will find this to be a very pleasant area to sit and watch the marsh birds, to fish or crab, or simply to read a book. Observe deer, herons, ducks, clapper rails, and fish jumping in the tidal creek at the end of the back yard. Your vacation paradise is even more special by the privacy from the surrounding marsh grasses. Quiet and peace just for you...until you see how exciting the marsh can be: fishing cranes, many varieties of aquatic life, song birds, and so much more. This is also a great place to bicycle-ride or walk over to the Nineteenth Street cross-over for viewing the Davis Canal and the marsh.
All this and just a five minute short walk to the beach access point launching you on all kinds of shore and water fun from shell-hunting to fishing to snorkling, and on. Also, from our crow's nest, you can see the beach, spotting the details of passing ships and marine life using your binocular skills for fine-tuning.
CULLOWHEE LANDING is also close to Ocean Crest fishing pier where you can fish or watch the dolphins or just take in the sights and sounds.
