Oak Island has beautiful sandy white beaches where you can enjoy any beach activity. Relax in the sun, play in the water or get sandy while building your own sand castle. Beach Walking is a great way to discover interesting aspects of maritime life. Take a morning or evening walk or run along the beach or sit with your special someone while watching the stunning sunsets on Oak Island.

Boating is a smooth ride along the ICW, or head out into the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean and explore. You can go fishing on the piers, from the shore, or on a deep sea fishing cruise. There are two fishing piers on Oak Island. Walking out on the piers is also enjoyable. If you fish, make sure you have the proper NC fishing license.
